Shortly after Jordan were penalized once again with the kick successfully converted by Karim Jammal, taking the score to 6-0. After initial nerves wore off the Phoenix found themselves in control of the match placing the Jordanians under continuous pressure resulting in Lebanon going into halftime with a first half lead of 29 – 3 through two tries by Firas El Chami and Mounir Finan and successful conversions and one penalty kick by Karim Jammal.
When the teams came out for the second half, Lebanon quickly demonstrated their dominance and within the first five minutes successfully executed a well planned move to score what would become an avalanche of tires to the following players: Firas El Chami, Mohammad Turk, Georges Cassab, Jean Rmeily, Steve Pere and Sam Jarrouche, 5 conversions by Karim Jammal.
The final score was 71 – 3 in favor of the host nation. However, it must be stated and credit given to Jordan who carried on not only defending but attacking to the last minute.
