USJ basketball academies festival



The university of Saint Joseph, organized a basketball festival on its courts, with the participation of more than 100 players who are under 13 years of age, coming from the most important basketball academies in Lebanon.

More than 13 games were played with official referees officiating the game. Coach Gilbert Saliba supervised the festival, that ended with Hoops basketball academy winning the gold medal and Champville Dik El Mehdi acamedy grabbing silver.

The event was marked with the presence of USJ athletes and delighted parents that were cheering loud for their kids. The organizing committee from USJ was impressed with the level shown by the young players and with their sportsmanship, congratulating the clubs for choosing the right coaches and persons to lead the youngsters. The committee also praised the presence of clubs officials, schools directors, and parents who came to encourage passionately the promising talents.

It also promised that the university will work hard to spread the sports culture in the country to guarantee a bright future for Lebanese sport and upcoming generations.
