U14 Lebanese Taekwondo Team Results in Asian Championship

21 May. 2015 – The Lebanese taekwondo federation, announced the results of the U14 Lebanese boys and girls who were participating in the Asian championship that was taking place in Taiwan.

First, Laeticia Aoun managed to win a silver medal in the 47- KG category. Aoun is a Mont La Salle player.

Secondly, Sandra Dib, the Antranik player, also won a medal, a bronze one in the 44- KG category.

The third and final medal that the Lebanese players were able to get was with Chloe Moujaes from Club Maristes, who grabbed a bronze one in the 29- KG category.

The other players who were representing Lebanon were Alexia Avakian (33- KG) who unfortunately couldn’t make it to the semi finals, while Mary Joe Fadel (51- KG) also came short of making it to the semis, with a defeat in the quarter finals.

Moreover, Giovanni Yani (33- KG) lost against a Mongolian player in the last 16 round, Raphael Kodsy (37- KG) made it to the quarter finals before losing against an opponent from South Korea, Ray Rahi also made it to the quarter finals (65- KG). Also, Yasmine Sadek (49- KG) lost against her Indonesian opponent in the round of 16, Anna Haddad (52- KG) fell short of making the round of 8 with a defeat against a player from Thailand. Clara Dib (55- KG), Ward Seilman (68- KG), Eric Melki (55- KG) and Pavel Haddad (59- KG) all missed out on the semi finals with defeats in the quarter finals, each in his respective category.
