Strong Showing by Karl Massaad in Formula 4 Despite Bad Luck

21 Apr. 2017 – In the second stage of the Britannia Formula 4 Championship, Karl Massaad managed to qualify in 7th place for the race, which sounded like the start of a marvelous week end.

Unluckily, after moving up to 6th due to penalties for other drivers, the Lebanese driver got hit by a slipping car on the first lap, marking the end of Massaad’s first race.

On the other hand, in the second one, Karl was off to a strong start as he moved up to 7th,defending his place until the last laps where he lost it to then finish 8th and grab 4 points.

In the third and final race, Massaad started from 4th and it was his biggest chance yet for a podium in his relatively short career, but the race ended in lap 4 as it was abandoned due to a huge accident in which drivers were hurt and had to be taken to the hospital.

Finally, Karl stated that he was surely disappointed with the result as he could have done better, but it’s all a learning experience and he hope to do better in the next stage. He also wished a speedy recovery for the drivers who were hurt in the accident.
