Social Inclusion for Children Through Football

14 Dec. 2016 – The Minister of Education organized the Football Social Inclusion in collaboration with the UNICEF and with the support of the German Government, the United States of America, and France.

The program consists of integrating the Lebanese adolescents and the Syrian refugees in society through the most famous sport on the planet: Football. The event was organized with the direct implication of the Women’s Football National team and with the support of Hoops club.

192 children and young participants from all over Lebanon took part in this program that was being held in AUST, Beirut, in the presence of representatives from the Minister of Education, the UNICEF and members of the Football Federation.

The project is offered to 900 children in 60 different schools in Lebanon, to promote the Social inclusion through football. It is also a program for the Physical Education teachers in those schools.
The program was held for 10 months and ended with football games where the young talents were chosen to continue their practice in summer training camps.
