Sagesse vs Riyadi Game 2 – Lebanese Basketball Playoffs

23 Apr. 2017- Sagesse hosted Riyadi today in the second game of the playoffs.
The first quarter was a despicable one for Sagesse on both offensive and defensive ends. It ended in the Guests’ favor (11-22).

However, Sagesse made a huge comeback in the second and scored 31 points against 12 to Riyadi, going to the lockers leading by 8 points 42-34.
The second half kicked off, and both teams were so focused. Riyadi are known for their ability to turn the tables in the third, and that’s what they did. They ended the third quarter leading by 2 points only (52-54).
Sagesse players fought their heart out to clinch a very precious win.
The man of the game was no other than Steven Burtt scoring 34 points coupled with 3 rebounds and 5 assists, not to forget Godfrey’s incredible double double with 17 points and 18 rebounds. Sagesse’ lebanese had a great impact on the game especially Mohammad Ibrahim’s 9 assists as well as Bou Abboud’s 7 rebounds.
As for Riyadi, their best player was Aminu 19 points, and the Prince with 18, scoring some 3s at crucial time.
Sagesse tied the series now 1-1, and imposed minimum a 4th game.
