15 Mar. 2016 – A new rugby union women’s National team is now formed after they stopped back in 2013. The team started training at Sin El Fil’s pitch, under the supervision of coach Karim Jammal, a national team player who represented Lebanon in many international championships.
The team members are Kay Bardawil, Fanny Mazas, Sara Awad, Perla Ghattas, Tala Azzam, Elissa Boulos, Amy Rodgers, Ayah Fakhoury, Jessica Maalouly, Mayssa Hallak, Manuella Sadeck, Maria Sleiman, Lynn Nasrallah, Lynn Moutragi and Tamara Awada.
The team will start competing against universities teams next month and will compete on the international level.
It’s always good to see girls playing sports and joining their efforts in developing women’s national teams.
We believe they will make Lebanon proud.
