Nadia DAGHER set 2 National Records for Lebanon in Germany!

26 May 2016 – Nadia DAGHER, the Lebanese runner who lives and trains in Germany, added two new national record for Lebanon in the 3000 and 5000 meters!

The talented athlete who represents Champions club ran an amazing 3000 meters in 9:48.00 in Berlin, Germany. Therefore, she breaks Maria Pia NEHME’s record of 10:05.42 achieved in Canada three years ago.

5 days after this amazing achievement, Nadia ran the 5000 meters in 16:53.89 breaking again another record of Maria Pia, the 17:07.99 she achieved in July 2015. The competition is now on between the two, but we should note that Maria Pia is more focused on long distance runs while Nadia is more a middle distance runner.

We should also mention that Nadia made her first appearance in Lebanon last year at the Lebanese Championship where she broke the 1500 meters record with an amazing time of 4:37.43. She will try to improve her record this Sunday in Berlin!

We wish her the best of luck!

Congrats!
