Lebanese University Students results at the Arab table tennis Championship!

14 Jan. 2016 – A Lebanese University delegation participated in the second Arab University Championship in Table Tennis that was held in Oman.

Eight Arab countries took part in this Championship: Lebanon, Egypt, Iraq, Yemen, UAE, Syria, Jordan and Oman. The Lebanese delegation was lead by Georges NADER, the general secretary of the Lebanese University Federation, was coached by Jessica SAKR and the team was formed by the following players:

Moussa JAAFAR (LAU), Ali AL RIDAKI KHALIL, Hassan KAOUKAR and Hanem JOMAA (BOU) and finally Micheline HANNA (LU). Both, the men’s and women’s teams were able to take fourth place in this championship.

On the other hand, NADER took part in several meetings related to the Arab federation. The Lebanese university federation received an invitation to take part in the Pentathlon Arab Championship that will be held in Egypt on the 29th of January until the 2nd of February.

They also received an invitation from the FISU to take part in the World University Winter Games that will take place in Malta, Kazakhstan, in September 2017.

The federation also receive an invitation to take part in the Asian Futsal Championship that will be held in Kazakhstan from the 21st of April to the 28th, 2016, and in the Asian Basketball Championship for Women from September 6th to the 11th in Taiwan.

Finally the last invitation came for the martial arts students to take part in the World Roman-Wrestling Championship in Turkey on the 25th to the 30th of October 2016.
