Lebanese Basketball: Riyadi and Homenetmen to Participate in the Women Arab Clubs Championship
The Lebanese women basketball league champions and runner ups, Riyadi Beirut and Homenetmen Antelias, are going to participate in the Arab clubs championship, on the 10th of October in Egypt, and both have their squads ready and strengthened with 2 foreign players.
Indeed, Al Riyadi signed Brittany Denson and Gaati Werema, who are 2 high level imports. Moreover, Brittany is not new to Lebanese basketball, having previously played with the Lebanese national team. In addition to that, the yellow club has added 2 of Chabab Al Arabi’s players, Lama Moukadem and Nancy Maalouf, to the squad, to have a better shot at winning the title for the first time ever.
On the other hand, Homenetmen has also recruited 2 foreigners to its ranks, with Ashley Jones and Yelena Purlovich making the cut. The Lebanese club also has a good chance of winning the title, and will be looking forward to add an international title to its records.
The tournament contains top women teams, from countries like Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco…
Best of luck to the Lebanese teams, who will surely represent Lebanon in the best way possible.
