Lebanese Athletes to the Asian Athletics Championship
06 May 2015 – Seven Lebanese Athletes are now heading to the Asian Youth Athletics Championship that is held in Qatar from 9 to 12 May. The Lebanese Delegation headed by Roland SAADE the president of the Lebanese Athletics Federation and Elie SAADE as a coach and the Vice-President of the Federation is formed by:
Jad KHOURY (Champville) who set this year new records in the sprint events and who will be running both the 100 and 200 meters at the Asian Championship.
Lea OBEID (Champville) who also set new sprint records and who will also run the 100 and 200 meters.
Georges GHAFARY (CSJ) who broke this year the High Jump record and who will be high jumping in Qatar.
Ahmad CHOUR (Phoenicia) who won the 5km Youth Race and who in excelling in the 800 meters.
Peter KHOURY (Champville) who is improving very fast lately and who will be running the 800 meters.
Sara Joe KORTBAWI (Champville) who took part in the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games and holds the middle distance records will be running the 800 meters.
Jean Claude ABOU FAYCAL who lives in Qatar and who will take part in the Shot Put.
