LBL Playoffs: Louaize vs Mouttahed Game 3

30 Apr. 2017 – Louaize hosted Mouttahed today in the 3rd game of the playoffs, trying to tie the series and force a game 5.


It was a close game from the beginning but Louaize managed to lead the first quarter up by 1 (14-13).

They continued their lead, and ended the half 32-30. Mouttahed’s top scorer the first 2 quarter was Elie Rustom with 7 points and 6 rebounds, fighting on both ends, offense and defense, while Louaize’s top scorer was Geron Johnson with 12.
The second half kicked off, and Louaize exerted their efforts to widen the gap 56-45. The last quarter was decisive for both teams, especially for Louaize who are trying to impose a 5th game.

Geron Johnson had a double double (28 points – 17 rebounds). Harris had a double double as well with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

As for Mouttahed, their best players were Ramel Curry with 14 points and 5 rebounds, followed by Rustom with 13 points 7 rebounds and 3 assists. The latter was the best Lebanese player in the game.
Game 5 will take place on Tuesday, and will reveal the identity of the team that will face Homenetmen in the final 4.
