Hoops’ New Head Coach

12 Oct.2016- After having an incredible season last year, Hoops were so close of reaching the final 4, and they are definitely strengthening their team this year by appointing the Greek Coach Thanasis Papahatzis as their new head coach.

He coached in 2015-2016 Apollon Patras (Greece), in addition to Apoel (Cyprus) and Panionios (Greece).

Moreover, he has won with Panathinaikos the European Championship in 1999, where he was the assistant of Slobodan Subotic Lefteris.

He became then the Assistant coach for Olympiakos from February 2002 to December 2003.

He ended up 2nd in the Greek league, and was the Winner of Greek cup (2002).

Finally, he  worked once again with Coach Slobodan Subotic Lefteris as his assistant  for Aris basketball club 2010-2011.

He has definitely a huge experience in the European League generally and more specifically in the Greek one.

All the best to Hoops and their new coach.
