Avo MOUMJOGHLIAN just defeated the World Table Tennis Champion!

30 Sep. 2015 – Avo MOUMJOGHLIAN just defeated Ma LONG from China, the world table tennis champion, at the Asian Championship in 4-0; four sets of 7 before he withdrew! The championship is held in Pattaya, Thailand.

Ma LONG was injured and Avo took advantage of it to get to the round of 64 where he will face Ali AL KHADRAWI from KSA! Avo won today morning over Swan Pyae TUN from Myanmar in 4-2 (11-9,10-12,11-9,10-12,11-4,11-7).

“There is no chance more medals, but my target is to reach the round of 32 where I will eventually face the Iranian player, who is a very tough opponent. That’s my goal now! Round 32 is my dream!” Said Avo right after defeating the World Champion.

Avo never reached the round of 32, this will be an amazing achievement on the personal and national level! He will certainly give him best in the next game that will start in less than three hours!

On the other hand, Mohamad HAMIYE won the first round when his opponent didn’t appear on the court. Same thing happened with Joe CHALHOUB. HAMIYE faced Muhd Shakirin IBRAHIM in the next round where he lost 4-1 (5-11,11-6,11-8,11-8,11-8)

Joe CHALHOUB faced Pak Nam NG from Hong Kong and lost in 4-1 (5-11,4-11,11-9,6-11,5-11). Mohamad HABECH lost against Abdulrahman AL NAGGAR in 4-1 ( 11-4,11-9,11-4,9-11,11-6).
