Al Najah Club Swimmers Grab 3 Medals, Break 3 National Records
01 Jun. 2017 – Al Najah Club swimmers have landed in Vienna to compete in an international event where 96 swimmers from 17 countries took part.
The two swimmers were Lana Hijazi and Laetitia Hamdoun who were the only two swimmers from a non-European country. They grabbed the attention of everyone there by medaling in 3 events.
First of all, Laetitia secured a silver medal in the 100m backstroke and broke a national record that had been standing for 21 years. As for Lana, she broke two national records in the 200m breaststroke and the 400m freestyle. She also grabbed the bronze medal in both events.
Coach Mohammad Sakr, owner of Pro Swim accompanied these two promising athletes in their journey abroad.
