5K Sundays Wins Silver Award at 2017 Sports Industry Awards
13 Apr. 2017 – Sportscode made a huge appearance at the SPIA (Sports Industry Awards) in this year’s edition, winning one category and being shortlisted in 2 others.
In fact, 5K Sundays, which is an event that brings people together to either run or bike in the streets of Lebanon, won the silver award in the category Best Amateur Sport Event of the Year (MENA Only.) It is an event that promotes healthy living, encouraging everyone, athletes and non athletes, to embark on a journey like no other. It urges people, young or old, to put on those running shoes and enjoy a car-free day, in different cities in Lebanon. It allows everyone to discover the benefits of leading a healthy life while discovering their country better. It is such a pride to see an event like 5K Sundays being acknowledged among the best in the region.
5K Sundays was not the only Sportscode project to shine at the 2017 SPIA, as 2 other projects were shortlisted in their categories. In fact, Lebanon Through My Eyes, which is a project of the Lebanese talent, Silvio Chiha, was picked among the top 10 in the category Best Integrated Sports Marketing Campaign of the Year and the Sportscode Portals were picked among the top 10 in the Best Sports CSR Initiative of the Year category.
