2017 LBL Playoffs: Mouttahed Take 1-0 Lead Against Louaize

17 Apr. 2017 – A terrific second half defensive effort from Mouttahed, saw them cruise to a 70-60 victory against Louaize in the first game of a best of 5 between both.

The hosts indeed limited coach Marwan’s men to just 23 points in the second part of the game. Cleveland Melvin spearheaded the defense of coach Abaz with 12 rebounds and 4 blockshots, while Spencer scored 21 points and Curry 16.

Charles Tabet was also excellent in that game with 11 points and 7 rebounds.



On the other hand, the visitors had a rough shooting night with just 6 of 25 from behind the arc. Geron Johnson had 16 points and 8 rebounds but also a negative 8 turnovers.

Elie Stephan added 13 points and Wendell Lewis 14 coupled with 7 rebounds. The second game of the series will be in Jounieh, as Louaize will try their best to tie the series in front of their fans.
