2014 Lebanese women basketball championship kicks off!

The Lebanese women basketball championship has started on Saturday, with the opening game being held at Aintoura court and featuring Aintoura and Antranik.

Many important figures were present in the stands, with notably former minster Dr. Ibrahim Najjar, Father Antoine Naked and the head of the Basketball Federation, President Walid Nassar who made an opening speech highlighting the importance of women in society and wishing good luck to all the teams. Others were present also, in a game that was largely dominated by Antranik ladies who won 84-38. Nisrine Dandan was Antranik’s best scorer with 18 points, while Cynthia Nasrallah scored 13 points for the losing team.
