2014 Lebanese Basketball Championship Final 8: Amchit with the key to the Orange Castle

In the second game of the series, Homenetmen wasn’t able to tie the series, and lost for the second time against Amchit; the 4th in the season. The final score was 77-66. It seems that Amchit is the team holding the key against Homenetmen, since they have a 4-0 record against the Armenian team.

Fadi El Khatib, was at his best today in Mezher, as he always is when it matters. He led all scorers with 29 points and added 13 rebounds. Dion Dixon ran the show for his side, even though it wasn’t enough to secure the first win against Amchit.

It is worth noting, that Mark Korjian and Elie Chamoun were outstanding for their teams, Homenetmen and Amchit respectively. It is always pleasing to see youngsters taking their chance in big games and making the best out of it.

In other news, Mouttahed, without Hassan Whiteside after firing him, were able to come back in the series and win their first game, to bring the series to 2-1, still in favor of Byblos. The final score was 92-88.
