2014 AFC Futsal Clubs Championship: Bank of Beirut with Second Consecutive Loss

The 2014 AFC futsal clubs championship, in its 5th edition, is not going quite well for Bank of Beirut, who lost for the second consecutive time.

Indeed, the Lebanese team suffered a new loss after the first one against Tabriz 5-1. This time, it was against Chonburi Bluewave from Thailand, the reigning champions, with a large score of 4-0.

Match report:

Next, the team will face Al Qadsia from Kuwait in its last group stage game. The Kuwaiti team has 1 point so far, losing 7-2 against Tabriz and drawing 4-4 with Chonburi, so BoB has a good chance of getting something from the game.

The results look pretty bad, but it is not to be forgotten that Bank of Beirut is missing some key players, like Mahmoud Alemeh, Moustapha Serhan, and Croatian player Vladan, who’s missing due to injury.

Nevertheless, competing with some of the top teams in Asia has definitely helped BoB, who will be aiming to get back stronger next year!
